Spanish cowgirl
This wonderful vintage image has just been added to my collection. Isn't she grand? She was a circus cowgirl. The horse's name is Silver. Watch for her to star on a jewelry piece along with another spanish cowgirl or two, very soon! This puts me in the mood for mexican food, so I thought I would share my own personal {easy} salsa recipe. For a great homemade flour tortilla recipe visit The Homesick Texan blog at: http://homesicktexan.blogspot.com/ My salsa is made in a blender with two cans Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles, { replace one with tomatoes & habaneros if you dare !} juice of one small lime, a few pickled jalapeno slices, the jar kind, fresh onion to taste, garlic powder to taste, and a sprinkle or two of oregano. You can use fresh garlic in place of powder, I never measure so make it to your taste. You can also add a pinch of cilantro if you wish.
