I did it !

As I find myself on the backside of another Christmas, alot of fun was had, the last dash to the store is memory and the chocolate covered cherries are gone, {well, placed safely on my thighs anyway.}
A few minor setbacks, the photos didn't arrive for my Christmas cards, so no one got any from me, I had too many gifts for two sisters and not enough for the third, thus the last dash to the store. I ran the wrapping down to the last minute, something I said I wouldn't do this year, and one gift got left behind.
One thing I have learned as I have gotten older is nothing is perfect. I have come to the realization that it doesn't have to be "perfect" to be perfectly wonderful. Life is easier and more fun if we accept all the little imperfections that will always be there.
Every year, late Christmas evening I always remember Chevy Chase's character in the end of Christmas Vacation. It has become my own little tradition, for me to throw my arms in the air and exclaim "I did it !"

    Ring the bells that still can ring
    Forget your perfect offering.
    There is a crack in everything,
    That's how the light gets in.

  4. Oh,great picture!!! I'll bet Gilly is glad I didn't think of that one;but then Pokey would remove the bow before I could snap the picture!
    Which gives me an idea, maybe I should stick a red bow on Pokey's tail for a picture!!
    You are right, life is never perfect, I don't think it would be as much fun if it were!
